well dont get discouraged - its just a working title. i play for some time now with an idea like that. simply a book (maybe ebook if no publisher wants to come around) about the diving biz / industry for the new dive professional. for that i look at this point for input from all sides and angles. like (but not limited to): what do you think your job / future job involves / what were you thinking when you got involved, what do dc's expect, reality vs. what you thought / think about it, what to expect on your first job, methods of "priming" your staff for the job, the instr.'s point of view what this job involves and the dc's. where to train, what to ask before signing up for the courses. where to work and what to expect in areas around the world (like can i live with no internet / limited power in remote areas as trade off for great diving or should i stay home), what comes after my instr course, further training to increase your marketability i the industry. "training programs" for the staff at our dc. what do i give up in exchange for what......etc. i have quite some stuff piled up and like to get much more to from any angle of this biz to try and compile a book, which will answer "all" the questions we hear sooooo often. feel free to post here, im me, email me.

Hitchhickers guide to Dive Industry! Right!!! A really good Idea I think. We might ask PADI to publish it! How about a "Interaktive book" You just open chapters in a new thread and anybody who like can give his experience. Little work for everybody. Great gain for the newbees. It just should be taken care of that uninformational comments as the "girl who knows the boy who had to leave Mexico because he didn´t speak spanish story" in good / bad dc´s stay out. Otherwise nobody wants to read it.
