hi this whole union debate, minimum wage blah blah blah thing is proving extremely difficult with every new bit of information about it. i think only the government can do this. so how about telling low payers to **** off.
if we don't work for nothing the dive schools will start to struggle with supply and demand and be forced to reduce standards or pay up. as a professional it is essential to have professional looking equipment, the odd holiday etc etc. hand to mouth springs up again and a room and board bonus is not quite cutting it, heres my other plan, shame the name, this was sent to me today...... they have received there instructions believe me
25% of the fee or f**k off.
Indepth Diving Services provides scuba diving tuition and fun dives
exclusively to the guests of the Mark Warner resorts in the
Mediterranean. (guests who pay 1500 pounds sterling per week)
As you can see from the Mark Warner website, the guests enjoy
all-inclusive facilities at the resorts apart from diving and tennis, so
it the responsibility of the Indepth dive team to ensure that the guests
who are willing to pay for diving services are given a highly
professional and enjoyable dive experience.
Each resort has a dive manager who (can't afford to leave) has worked in the resort previously
and who knows the local dive sites and operators who provide the dive
boats. The manager is in charge of dives schedules and payments and has
a team of instructors to help him conduct his job to the highest
standard.
Instructors work 6 days a week and accommodation and food are provided
throughout the season as well as flights to and from the resort (as long
as they complete their contract satisfactorily). The wage is £100 per
week with the possibility of additional commission.
If you would like to be considered employment, please contact Alex or
Helen on 01******* 10 to arrange an interview.
Best regards
Indepth Diving Services
power to the people and 25% to their pockets.........
